Claude Fable 5 joins the model picker.

Claude Fable 5 just landed in the Morrison model picker. It’s Anthropic’s newest generation, and it joins the lineup we introduced in Pick the model - working exactly the way the picker has always worked: choose a model next to the send button, send the message, switch again on the next one if you want.

Same Skills. Same integrations - Search Console, GA4, SerpAPI, Google Ads, Ahrefs. Same attachments. The only thing that changes is which model is doing the thinking on the next turn.

What Fable is for

If Sonnet has been your go-to for writing that has to read like a person wrote it, Fable is that instinct with sharper reasoning behind it. Reach for it on the work where tone and judgment both matter - rewrite briefs, voice-led drafts, editorial calls on borderline pages.

The rest of the lineup keeps its roles. Opus 4.8 remains the heavy-analysis option for the hardest questions - decline diagnoses across noisy data, programmatic-template audits, anything you’d want a second opinion on. Gemini 3.5 Flash stays the light, fast choice for quick audits and batch reviews over many pages.

Per message, like everything else in the picker

The pattern from the original launch hasn’t changed. You don’t commit a thread to one model. Run a fast pass over fifty pages on Gemini 3.5 Flash, hand the one confusing case to Opus 4.8, then switch to Fable to draft the brief - all in the same conversation, with the context carried across every switch.

Credits scale with the model

As always, heavier models cost more credits per turn. Fable sits in the middle of the range - lighter than Opus 4.8, heavier than Gemini 3.5 Flash. Pick the model the question deserves; the credit cost reflects what you picked, per turn.
