Morrison is a Global Search Awards 2026 finalist.
Shortlisted for Best Software Innovation at the Global Search Awards 2026. What the category recognises, why it matters to the team that built Morrison inside Bonzer, and what happens in Dublin on 23 September.
Morrison has been shortlisted for Best Software Innovation at the Global Search Awards 2026. The finalists were announced in July. The winners are decided in Dublin on 23 September. We are proud, a little surprised, and mostly grateful, so here is the short version of what the nomination is, what it recognises, and what we are doing with it.
What the Global Search Awards are
The Global Search Awards are run by Don’t Panic Events in association with We Are Search, and recognise the best work in SEO, PPC and content marketing worldwide. Most categories reward campaigns: a launch, a migration, a recovery, judged on the results it produced for a client.
Best Software Innovation is different. It is judged on the product itself - what it does that existing tools do not, and whether that changes how search and content work actually gets done. Being shortlisted there, next to platforms that have been around far longer than we have, is the most direct outside verdict yet on the thing we set out to build.
What is being recognised
The pitch for Morrison has not changed since the first version: an agent that reads every page on your site, knows your brand, and sits on top of your real performance data, so a content team can run sophisticated work on demand or on a schedule. Three things make it different from a chat window with a plugin:
- Whole-site context. Morrison crawls and understands the entire site, not the one URL you paste in. An answer about a page is grounded in every other page that competes with it, links to it, or should.
- Live data in the loop. Search Console, GA4, Google Ads, SerpAPI and Ahrefs are first-class sources in Chat, so a diagnosis reads the numbers rather than guessing at them.
- Agentic execution at scale. Skills package the playbooks content teams repeat, Workflows batch-execute across thousands of pages, and Automations run the same agent on a schedule and bring you the result.
None of those is a demo feature. Each one exists because a consultant on our own team needed it on a real client site and could not buy it anywhere.
Built inside an agency, for the work
Morrison was built at Bonzer, by the people who run SEO and content work for clients every day. We wrote about what half a year of running our own operation on it changed, and about what is still very much the consultant’s job. That honesty is, we think, part of why the product works: it was never designed to replace the person at the keyboard, only to remove the forty minutes of lookup and cross-referencing that used to come before every decision.
The nomination belongs at least as much to the teams who used the rough early versions and told us exactly what was wrong - Wardn, Saxo Bank, and the other workspaces on the beta. Most of the good decisions in the product started as one of their complaints.
What happens next
The winners are announced on 23 September 2026 at the Round Room in the Mansion House, Dublin. A few of us will be in the room. Until then, nothing changes: we keep shipping, and the roadmap is exactly what it was before the shortlist landed.
